I guess you can get a passport card for going to Canada or Mexico, or a few other places, as long as you travel by air or sea. I figure I may as well see what it takes to get one, since carrying a passport is kind of a pain and then I can make another New Years resolution to see Canada and then do it on a whim if I have this card in my wallet. Of course I’d have to drive up there, which is 7 hours or so, making it less whim-worthy, but what the heck. I’m sure there’s some catch I’m not seeing, though, and I’ll end up in some sort of Canadian prison where they only speak in Canadian French.

I’m dealing with some things by avoidance (things like driving to the coast for a memorial service, for example) and here’s a link to one of the music videos you’d expect me to like. At least this song was used in an iPod Touch commercial.
