The new gym is pretty cool.

I’m sure it was stressful for the people working in the new gym because it was PACKED today and everyone, of course, had an opinion about the new space. People wanted to be there for “opening day.” I certainly was guilty of having issues with the space. Obviously, it’s bigger, but with more people, it’s more crowded.

I was especially cranky because I really should have been home in bed instead of at the gym, since I’m coming down with something. But, like I said, I had to be there for the transition. The gym is full of obsessive people and I’m not excluding myself from that category. I even pushed myself to have one my faster times in the gym. Unfortunately, I paid for this. I thought I was going to fall over when I took a shower because my back hurt so much. Thank goodness for Advil.

In any case, the new gym is really cool and the weird bits are going to be fixed, I’m sure. They got a new mop and I think I can mop the whole gym in the same time it took me to mop the old one. Mopping, surprisingly, is a great core exercise, and this new heavier mop is great for the shoulders.

I really ought to sleep more, too, instead of staying up listening to the directors comments from Love, Actually. I probably need a new hobby.

  1. My God! Why didn’t I ever think of passing off cleaning as a workout? Todd, I care about your workouts. I care so much that I think you should work your lats cleaning out my gutters. And the squat exercises you will get heaving my Christmas decorations into the attic will surpass all other squats.

    I even have advil.
