Well, my blood is overshooting the target range and my white blood cell and platelet counts are a little low. I guess this is expected. The bad news is that my sister isn’t a match for a bone marrow transplant. My doctor seems to think that the Gleevec is good enough that I don’t need to be worried. I hope he’s right!

Maybe some alien blood would match your type. Hopefully you won’t need a transplant, so don’t worry too much about it.

Too bad on the mismatch.. You two ARE close aren’t you? Hoping my kids are so in touch with each other when they are older.. Hopefully the drugs are just the ticket and if a marrow transplant is needed down the road you find the match you need. In this day and age with web tech. the world is a much smaller place and a match hopefully possible.
