We just went to Higgins where the burger was pretty darn good (probably on the level of Wildwood and Laurelhurst Market) but the experience was such crap that I don’t know if I ever want to go back. We waited about an hour for a table in the bar (we were the only ones waiting), our food took another hour to arrive, and the bartender was surly to me. I know I felt unwelcome at the Slow Bar, but I didn’t feel like I was being discriminated against there. I just felt like they didn’t want to be nice to ANYONE. At Higgins, however, I felt especially like crap.<\/p>\n

It’s a shame, too, because the burger was so good. The dessert was better than average but didn’t measure up to Hopwork’s bread pudding or Laurelhurst Market’s cheesecake, or Wildwood’s Lemon Semifreddo.
